Common name: Indian water weed
Native to Bangladesh, India, China and Malaysia, Indian water weed is in the aquarium trade because of its ease of growth and reproduction. It can grow a height upto 25-40 cm and a width of 4-8 cm. Normally it grows real fast resulting in considerable variation in leaf shape and color depending to some extent on the light supplied. In order to control crowding; shoots must be cut and cleared regularly. Propagation can be easily done by cutting.
