Common name: Sessile joyweed, Purple mint
A prostrate herb that grows from the nodes or may occasionally be a floating or emergent aquatic with many branches that varies from greenish, pinkish to purplish. Leaves are simple, opposite and entire. The stems can grow up to 10cm to 1 m long. Propagation can be done by nodal cuttings and replanting.
