Common name: Stargrass
Stargrass is so called because of the starlike arrangement of leaves when viewed from above. This tall, bushy plant is ideal for background planting, or if regularly trimmed, the midground. The leaves are roughly 1.6-2 in (4-5 cm) long and 0.2 in (0.5 cm) wide. With good lighting, the plant is relatively easy to keep. Once the stems reach the surface the plant will produce numerous side shoots. If planted in bright, open areas, it will grow short and compact, creating a bushy effect.
