 Found in marshy habitats Hygrophila difformis can grow a height upto 20-50 cm with a width of 15-25 cm. They are easy to grow and a very popular plant for the tropical aquarium. Best growth can be seen in good light with a nutrient rich water and substrate and benefits from additional CO2 which can be easily propagated from cuttings. Occurence of different leaf morphology in the same plant can be seen. It is considered an easy aquarium plant suitable for beginners in the planted tank hobby.
